An “event” constitutes any gathering of people who are having a good time together, and are united by a common cause or interest. Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
I've been a photographer for 35 years. I started out as a photojournalist, then picked up portrait photography, (8,000 sittings in three studios) then did school portraits (12,500 children in 53 different schools). Events, large and small, have been my passion for the past few years. I am often called in by a large NYC museum to cover their events and I frequently do shoots for several local communities through Patch.com. As a "people photographer", I love getting shots of people enjoying themselves, candid or posed.
What is your primary product or service?
Event photography .. But if you need head shots, product photography, or real estate interiors, I'm well qualified. Please ask.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I've always been visually creative. Capturing images on film or media card is still magical for me. Its a thrill to see how my camera sees. Getting people to smile is my joy!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I'm dependable, arrive early, get all the "must have" shots, and provide very fast turnaround. I generally have a full, edited CD or DVD of your event available the next business day. I've been honored to be asked to photograph Prince Harry, Oprah Winfrey, Henry Kissinger and Bruce Springsteen, among others.
Which areas do you service?
Northern New Jersey primarily but I'm happy to travel where needed.
