How long have you been in business?
Our Parent Company A. Abcal HVAC Services Inc. was founded in 1970. We opened our first fireplace showroom location in Faifield NJ in 1995. We opened "The Cozy Dog Fire Place Shoppe" Located at 26 West Passaic Street in Rochelle Park in 2004.
What is your primary product or service?
We design, service, sell and install gas, wood burning,electric and pellet burning fireplaces, stoves and inserts. We also sell and install mantels, stone surrounds and any item related to the hearth industry.We also carry premium hard wood pellets which can either be delivered or picked up.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My family has been in the heating and air conditioning business for 2 generations. With all the new construction we were doing fireplaces seemed like a natural fit for our installation crews. Growing into the retrofit and add on market came frome my love of design and balance. Designing a fireplace to fit a room astetically and helping a customer to see that vision is not just a talent but an art.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Growing up my mother was the artist in the family and my dad had the mechanical expertise. I was blessed with both of those genes. We can design your fireplace from concept to completion. We are a full in house turn key company. So if you do not want the hastle of hiring all the different contractors and try to coordinate them you call have us do that for you. From obtaining your permit to framing, installation, electrical, plumbing and inspections. Then onto the finishes with sheet rock, spackel, trim, paint mantels and stone. We can get the whole job done for you with just one phone call to us.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Ever since Hurricane Irene we now have just one location. We like many others were severely affected by Hurricane Irene. Fortunately Hurricane Sandy did not impact our Rochelle Park location.

The Cozy Dog Fireplace Shoppe showroom features 50 fireplaces and stoves, 25 of which are burning displays. We are located at 26 West Passaic Street in Rochelle Park, NJ. We are convenient to the Garden State Parkway, Route 17,Route 4 and Route 208.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards and cash. Proper identification is required.
Which areas do you service?
We service and install in most of NJ. We sell products to customers in NY and Pa.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
David and Edgar are long time employees who handle the day to day operation in the showroom. Generally George is on the road checking up on jobs and or doing the in home design layout with the homeowners.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday through Friday we are open 10 AM to 6 PM
Saturday we are open 10 AM to 4 PM

My best compliment from a customer is that we have exceeded their expectations and they will refer us to all their friends and family.
